‘Aurora Isn’t Interested in Borders’ is a collage relief that serves as a self-portrait of Aurora, the personification of dawn. Featuring seams stretched to the point of bursting, the installation is an artistic attempt to embody the essence of natural light, which cannot be tamed, chained, or controlled. It furthermore invites reflection on the concept of boundaries, both external and internal. It serves as a mirror to viewers’ personal limits, encouraging a life lived unbound and luminous, echoing the spirit of dawn. Its way of unapologetically existing everywhere, because borders don’t interest Aurora.
